Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Well, hello there! Wow, it's been a while since I last made a post here. Approaching a year! It's been a busy one, but I would like to say that this year has been a very different one. Big location move and have been streaming my gaming sessions since the last post. So lot of content created and sadly put this on a back burner. BUT. I'd really like to run this parallel to my gaming streams and content creation. So here we go!

Back in November, there was this fancy little gem released called, what? Oh. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. There has been so many mixed emotions amok on the web about this game, from both sides. It's comical to a point, because a lot of the gripes of MW2 were corrected, while other things such as game audio, super glitches, unfinished feels, have been prominent. I will say, personally, I give the game a 6.5 out of 10.

Campaign
So, some flack that was caught was how short the campaign was and all of that. There are these new, small, open-world type map missions incorporated in the campaign, and people were absolutely losing their minds over it. I felt like, depending on what difficulty you played this mode on, made the whole difference. As a trophy hunter, I had to do my campaign run on the Veteran difficulty, and I was not disappointed. Story was short, sure, but the content of it felt good and subtle. And replaying through some chapters to snag trophies needing to mop up was enjoyable also, just because you could do things differently each playthrough in the open world missions. I'd say this is a 8/10.

Multiplayer
This one will be short and sweet. Not much has changed as far as this formula. Spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, die. But, movement is much smoother in my opinion. One thing, especially on maps such as Shipment, is the starting gun animations when you spawn in. You can almost guarantee to get knocked a few times while your load in animation finishes. I see it every time I play the mode. Seeing some of the OG maps is pretty nice and nostalgic though, such as Terminal, Afghan, and so forth. 7.5/10

Warzone
Personally, I am not a WZ fan. Never have been, never will be, likely. HOWEVER, I do enjoy the Plunder mode offered with this new game. To me, it's insanely satisfying to play this game mode. And yeah, while the whole run & gun mechanic is there, if you can get a good team with microphones and will communicate efficiently, you can win this mode easily. Resurgence, BR and all of the other offerings are just bland and overly saturated with try-hards and cheaters trying to be the 'next big thing'. I do enjoy the 1-shot snipers though.  5/10

MWZ
This is the bread and butter of the game to me. Modern Warfare Zombies. While in all reality, it's a huge re-skin of DMZ with zombies scattered through the whole new map of Urzikstan...it's absolutely a breath of fresh air. Being a long-time zombie player, this has been one of the most positive things that Activision could bring forth in the game. An extraction-based zombie survival mode, instead of the same old round based repetitive nonsense, over and over. I can go in to this game with a team, or as a solo and now after figuring out the ins and outs of the game mode, it's just superbly fluid and easy to fall into HOURS of gameplay. You have some of the best boss fights if you legitimately try to take them on, and can get some of the best gear I've ever seen in the game. 9/10

Overall, I can say that this 'surprise' installment of CoD this year wasn't a complete flop. It has it's good and bad, just like most, but this one has been more enjoyable to say the least.

I appreciate all of you who read these blogs, and I plan to try to at least get 1 per month on a game review, or an updated review to a past game and such. Sometimes I don't play a new game each month, which was slightly the case in 2023. I played MW2 for the most part exclusively, but I've got a few others in my bag now that I can write some reviews on. Please stay tuned!

If you guys would like to see my game streams and support, please check the link:

All of my socials and streaming platforms are there.

I appreciate it! Until next time!

Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2 - Here’s a good one that has been in the heads of gamers since E3 back in 2018. The long-awaited and desired sequel to Techland’s huge hit, Dying Light. This was a great gamble for Techland to take when they decided to break away from the development of Dead Island.  Recently in gaming news, Microsoft has been running amok trying to acquire some developers and expand their already swoll utility belt in the gaming industry. Techland’s name was put into rumor that they had possibly been grabbed up by Microsoft, but their community manager was quick to take to Twitter in an attempt to squash any mis-information: I'm getting a lot of dm's about Dying Light acquisition so I'll answer here: There was the same rumour floating around the internet one year ago and the situation didn't change - Techland is an independent studio and it was not acquired by another publisher (: — Uncy (@Uncy8) February 13, 2021 Stressing that enough, Techland is still an independent...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Well...welllllll.....welllllllll. What do we have here? Oh. CoD, you say? You like a little Warzone in your life? Itching to grind out some of them pointless gun camoes? Get shit on by a bunch of middle schoolers who would rather teabag your corpse than pay attention in science class? Welllll look no further. Here's your one stop-shop to some real talk about this game.  First and foremost, welcome. Whoever stops by here and checks this joint out, you da best. I'm going to try to make a monthly blog post going forward about some game I've started playing, have played, or plan to play and just want to vent about some of the happenings in the world.  Ok, for the record, I've only experienced these games on PS5/4 so please, forgive me if I don't speak fluent PCorean, or XBoxanese.  MWII! Man...people really thought there was gonna be a gold mine here. Nobody seen the polished turd behind the curtain that Infinity Ward shaped up when they decided to release Warzone in ...
