Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales -  This has been one of the most fun continuations of a great brand published in the Marvel Universe. Getting to jump into this ever-evolving story has been a blast to say nonetheless. Nothing to spoil here since most of you Spider-Man fans have already played this.

Jumping in, you get to almost experience the core value of the game. The swinging and maneuvering through city elements that is of the utmost satisfaction. If you played the original Marvel's Spider-Man, you will be quite comfortable with the controls as they are pretty well cloned, but I will even go as far to say they are smoother this time around. As you swing through the storyline(see what I did there?), you really feel the emotion poured into the relationships between Miles and other characters in the game. I found myself really feeling a comparable amount of empathy and at times, irritation at choices made by characters in the game. To deliver that kind of connection is worth the $60 tag that comes along with it.

The story is very short, but immensely fulfilling. I feel like this time of Miles' life was rolled out and explained very well, leaving you with very little to wonder about, aside from just wanting to see how Miles and Peter continue to co-exist in the future. I am not an avid follower in the Spider-Verse, so I'm learning most of the Miles Morales story via this game, and ones to come.

Did you enjoy your playthrough(s)? I know I'm ready to see what's next.

Until next time readers...

(This was evaluated with a playthrough on a PlayStation 4.)

Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2 - Here’s a good one that has been in the heads of gamers since E3 back in 2018. The long-awaited and desired sequel to Techland’s huge hit, Dying Light. This was a great gamble for Techland to take when they decided to break away from the development of Dead Island.  Recently in gaming news, Microsoft has been running amok trying to acquire some developers and expand their already swoll utility belt in the gaming industry. Techland’s name was put into rumor that they had possibly been grabbed up by Microsoft, but their community manager was quick to take to Twitter in an attempt to squash any mis-information: I'm getting a lot of dm's about Dying Light acquisition so I'll answer here: There was the same rumour floating around the internet one year ago and the situation didn't change - Techland is an independent studio and it was not acquired by another publisher (: — Uncy (@Uncy8) February 13, 2021 Stressing that enough, Techland is still an independent...

Get shit on by a bunch of middle schoolers who would rather teabag your corpse than pay attention in science class? Welllll look no further. Here's your one stop-shop to some real talk about this game.  First and foremost, welcome. Whoever stops by here and checks this joint out, you da best. I'm going to try to make a monthly blog post going forward about some game I've started playing, have played, or plan to play and just want to vent about some of the happenings in the world.  Ok, for the record, I've only experienced these games on PS5/4 so please, forgive me if I don't speak fluent PCorean, or XBoxanese.  MWII! Man...people really thought there was gonna be a gold mine here. Nobody seen the polished turd behind the curtain that Infinity Ward shaped up when they decided to release Warzone in ...
