XDefiant Has Arrived!

May's Blog Post! New video format! Until next time, Alcoholics!

God of War: Ragnarok - Valhalla

Hello Alcoholics! Welcome to the April Edition of the blog. Hope everybody had a great month. Can you believe it is almost May already? Summer is already barking at our doors, and you know how we do out here in Nevada...keep it real hot. Anyways, let's dive into this. (Possible Spoilers, sorry not sorry.) I know this has been out for a little while, but I just recently downloaded the free roguelite DLC released by Santa Monica studio and gave it a crack. While I've not really been a fan of this type of add-on/DLC (Far Cry 6 being the most recent iteration that I disliked), this one actually has some real fluid to its story. Each time I have had to 'start over', it's been fulfilling. More to do, different things to do, etc. Not the same old thing.  You start out as Kratos of course, moving along with Mimir (The severed head) in a boat to some mysterious world that even he knows nothing really of. Odin supposedly kept it under wraps. Anyways, you begin with Kratos b...

Helldivers 2

Hello everybody, and welcome to the March edition of the Black Alcohol Gaming blog!  Hope since the last read, everybody is doing well. If you haven't already, please go check out my other avenues of gameplay and reach:  Linktree - BlackAlcoholGaming  - here you can follow me on all social and streaming platforms, as well as connect with my affiliates and partners. Ok, now that the shameless plug is over...Helldivers 2. Man. What can I say about this game that hasn't been spoken for itself already? The overall majority of people I've seen play it, as well as my own experience...well, it's been pretty great! And for $40 bucks on the PS store or PC? Can't really beat the bang for your buck that you get. Literally.  To start, this game is super light on the story angle of things. If you are into a deep storyline, this will not be the game for you. If you are into a solid, full of action co-op experience, then look no further. Diving in(ha!), from the gate you are...

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Sorry for the skipped month in February, but here is the Feb blog post. Just a little late. No excuses; just the life grind. Spider-Man 2. What can I say? I waited a good while for this to come out, and man oh man, I can say that overall, it was a great addition to the collection. Between the amazing scenery while you are swinging through the city, to the very satisfying fighting that comes along with almost every game in this series...you can't go wrong. That said, there is definitely something missing and I've struggled to put a finger on it until lately as I was rewatching some other streamers play the game. It's the cutscenes. They are the con. Let me explain. So to be a bit repetitive, I LOVE the storyline, from the first game released, to Miles' spin-off, to this one, absolutely. But when watching the cutscenes which help to deliver the story, I feel like I'm watching something from the early-on PS4 or even at the very worst, the late end of the PS3. I mean,...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Well, hello there! Wow, it's been a while since I last made a post here. Approaching a year! It's been a busy one, but I would like to say that this year has been a very different one. Big location move and have been streaming my gaming sessions since the last post. So lot of content created and sadly put this on a back burner. BUT. I'd really like to run this parallel to my gaming streams and content creation. So here we go! Back in November, there was this fancy little gem released called, what? Oh. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. There has been so many mixed emotions amok on the web about this game, from both sides. It's comical to a point, because a lot of the gripes of MW2 were corrected, while other things such as game audio, super glitches, unfinished feels, have been prominent. I will say, personally, I give the game a 6.5 out of 10.  Campaign So, some flack that was caught was how short the campaign was and all of that. There are these new, small, open-world ty...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Well...welllllll.....welllllllll. What do we have here? Oh. CoD, you say? You like a little Warzone in your life? Itching to grind out some of them pointless gun camoes? Get shit on by a bunch of middle schoolers who would rather teabag your corpse than pay attention in science class? Welllll look no further. Here's your one stop-shop to some real talk about this game.  First and foremost, welcome. Whoever stops by here and checks this joint out, you da best. I'm going to try to make a monthly blog post going forward about some game I've started playing, have played, or plan to play and just want to vent about some of the happenings in the world.  Ok, for the record, I've only experienced these games on PS5/4 so please, forgive me if I don't speak fluent PCorean, or XBoxanese.  MWII! Man...people really thought there was gonna be a gold mine here. Nobody seen the polished turd behind the curtain that Infinity Ward shaped up when they decided to release Warzone in ...
